2 more days to final paper. Last paper, last exam I'll ever have in Temasek Polytechnic. Oos!
Thought about AG committee matters already. Well, like dear said, I gotta have some faith and trust in them too. And I cannot base everything off my own standards. Yep! So there, I've more or less settled on the presidential role. Li min's right, we should have a meeting right after exam week and decide and evaluate. Yup.

Re-read Sunday's papers again, and read therough the free parking article. Lol I just noticed how subtle the article was in bringing across the message. Bascially its talking about how motorists are exploiting the carpark system by slotting in thin cards along with their Cashcards when exiting the carparks, so that somehow the system misreads the card, and the whole parking is free. Sunday Times tested it out, and it worked.
The best part is when they asked the engineer at the company responsible fo rthe general design of the system. The guy said "No! Its impossible!" Then Sunday Times told them, well, we tried, and it DOES work. They the engineer said "Oh well then it depends on how the individual engineers write the software for the thing..." LOL.
The carpark management are in the know, and they're trying to find cheap methods to solve the problem - because replacing the system, which is the only, and best way, they said, willc ost them more than the $300,000 they are losing every year to this. Doesn't make sense does it. Would you rather lose $300,000 every year, or would you rather pay a 1 time fee and stop losing money?
So the conclusion is, nobody is doing anything about it, and motorists are still free to exploit the system. Lol. Now that its in the papers, their loses are going up even more. For sure.
Seems like Wedding Videography's hot on the rise in the local media industry. Hmm. I always thought wedding videography as a small market... Haven't tried, and dunno how it really works... Hmm since my cousin's in the traade, maybe I can find out more from him. But no interest yet. As it is, I won't do things that I have no interest in. But, what the trend is nowadays is affluent couples hiring wedding videography companies to make a short action flick for them, with themselves starring in the movie. Lol thats fun.
My mom's into some serious heat with the neighbour downstairs. Just today, she came home, and slammed the door and the gate shut. I turned and looked at her, but she wasn't angry or something. At least not with me. I don't understand. Then she told me, cos the woman downstairs slammed the door on her just now when she was going downstairs. The last time, the same wman complained against us for our water dripping down on her window when we water our plants in the balcony. *shrugs* I don't got no grudge against her.
Lol.
My doorbell system at home's gone cranky. Like seriously, it triggers sometimes when we switch on the light in the kitchen (its above the kitchen switch). And the dog, in the kitchen, just barks as if there really was someone at the door, pressing the doorbell. No matter how many times we spank him, he just does that. Lol. Instinct?
Zz woke up at around 11.30 this morning, and the air con was off. Mom said she turned it off, cos bills are high, I shouldn't sleep till this late.
And few days back, I woke up early, she scolded me for waking up so early for what.

Went out with the guys again today, lol.
Nothing new, but over dinner at BK, we started to talk about our friends who tried to pull us into MLM. Shocking discovery: They mostly came from the Raffles Place stretch, all with the excuse of Lau Pa Sat. Lol. We all agreed, we're not the MLM kind of person. Singapore is just too small, and we just didn't like to put our own money into stuff like that. Not that its a scam, or its never gona succeed, but its just not our thing.
Halfway, Fireworks started outside. Yes, right outside. Remembered, Chingay went to East too. Ahahaha. Not as grand as Countdown, and on camera it just looks like a ball of flash.
Then lye and lk started something really sick. They were sitting next to each other, lk was playing BLEACH on his PSP, and lye kept peeping over at lk in a most seductive way. LOL. As claimed by lk. Then lk started telling lye "EH stop looking at me you lecher", and lye started defending himself, but somehow ended up saying "I'm looking at your cleavage leh" LOL. Two perverts.
Talking to sherb about AG and NS now. AG's a worry. I had it all planned out for the next committee, but the current situdation forces me to reconsider - from a more limited than ever human resource pool. No president in mind. A very real situation of AG being gone... AG's on the rocks, and its fate lies totally in the upcoming presidents' hands. This Olympic torch that's dying anytime is in my hands, and I have to pass it on. I would continue if I could, but situation doesn't allow. =/

Went to Katong Shopping Centre this morning to buy exam papers for my sis. Had to wait half an hour for the person to photocopy. So I decided to take a walk around the shopping centre itself - but because it was too early, alot of the shops weren't open. Only the two BIGGEST "industry players" in there were - Photocopying, and Maid Agencies. The place is overflowing with them.
Which didn't interest me in the least. But at least I had dearie accompany me on the phone~ Xie xie dar dar <3 =P
(Hmm I'm supposed to be hearing a song now, but some other mellow song is playing, and I don't know where's that coming from o.O None of my windows seem to be playing any songs...)
There's something really interesting about all the maid agencies in there. Every single one of them uses local celebrity as product endorsement. Jack Neo. Li Nan Xing. Lol.
For example, one of the maid agencies, Jack Focus, had Jack Neo on its advertisement. JACK Focus. JACK Neo. What?!
Then I saw one more, with Li Nanxing, his mom, and their maid on the IPB maid agency advertisement. Naw, his mom and him look worlds apart. Then dear asked me, whether my mom and I looked alike. Well. Hmm. Heh heh.
Walked around some more, and saw the popular put-your-hand-in demonic looking stone machine, where it tells your fortune supposedly. You know, that fierce looking white faced guy with his mouth open for you to put your hand in? It was hollering something when I walked past. Gah. He gives me the creeps.
Walked back up to the level with the photocopy shop. Shops rather.
Ya, thats one big cluster of them, each next to each other. Right... Competitive edge?
Stood opposite, and waited. Then this tourist lady comes up to me, and asks me where she can buy electronics. I was thinking, "Here? You're in the wrong place, lady". But there was this un-opened electronics behind. With another celeb endorsement on its ad. What is wrong with these people... So anyway, being a nice Singaporean, I told her, she could go to Courts (never heard of it, she says), Harvey Norman (har what? Harwey Normang? Orh). Tampines? (ya heard of it) Yea there's a Courts there. Or rather, you can go to Vivocity (Vi what? Wiwohity? Orh). (So what do I tell the taxi driver? Wiwohity? Ya. Thank you ah!)Yea, I feel so good.
So I went and collected the papers, paying $55 in total. Yea, for Primary 5 exam papers. The shopkeeper asked me: You're a tuition teacher? Nope. Lol. My sister's supposed to do all these.

Lacking a passport photo on the resume. No digicam at home. Ok, phone camera. Plus Photoshop. Worked.

Just checked MSEA rankings. Poms' 119. Lol siao ei... he really went and did 24 hours 2x EXP on New Year. Not like I care anyway.
Just watched Apocalypto. Let me sum it up: Blood, Violence, Naked Men and Women. And the ending is just totally lame la. Lol. Christopher Columbus?!
Zzz. Sometimes I really can't stand my mom la. She keeps digging up old stuff. Yes, I over indulged in games before, and made my studies suffer when I was in JC. Yes, yes I know that.
But thats 3 years ago, mom! THREE!
I'm doing just fine in Poly, and I just finished my final semester, and she STILL keeping at "Hasn't games caused you enough troubles? Games are going to affect your studies!" Like HELLO, reality check please! =_=
She just wanted me to read a newspaper article in Forum section of the chinese papers, talking about how teens are spending too much time on games and their handphones. So I read through it, and ya, so what?
She's always saying things like I'm ADDICTED to gaming, that I need to get a job and earn fees for a psychiatric session/treatment. I'm just THAT close to using the F word at her sometimes.
Nag nag nag, talk about irrelevant stuff, thats all she does. Maybe she's worried, but its not like I just started my poly course, I already FINISHED it! Why are you still nagging about it? =_=

Relax~
Lol time goes by so slowly on CNY. Kinda cloudy, no wind... Feeling rather stuffy in the house.
Slept till 11, 12 today. Actually woke up at around 8, but didn't feel like I had enough sleep since I slept at around 4 yesterday. Dunno, just feel a little impassionate today, not really feeling CNY. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever really did.
Thinking about life after CNY. 1 week to the last exam I would ever take in Temasek Polytechnic. Then... well I'd like to relax, but I think my folks won't let me, cos relaxing's about Game + Youtube + MSN for me. So I think I need to get a job or something. But for how long I have no idea, I can only speculate when I get enlisted. Furthermore, getting a job means having something concrete to do everyday, I don't feel like I'm wasting away. Or kinda. Looked up Recruit in yesterday's papers. Tuition... Really hard to get a job in there. Prob need to call up again. Other areas... IT, Communications... Well, no part time actually. Admin work, Sales doesn't really suit me.
Maybe I could look in Vitric or ask Mr Pok to see if there's any freelance video production and editing I can do.
Also offered to tutor moon weekly on her English. Cos she's probably going to SIM, but doesn't really believe in her linguistics. Haha.
Folks discussing whether to go my grandma's place, or to my cousin's place today. Don't actually feel like going out much today... At least if they're going grandma's, I can go later.
Been working on a song since yesterday night. Yes, love song again - dedicated to my dear. =P Almost done with it, just wanna work out some details on the tune.
Hmm I could probably start working on songs of other genres... like inspirational. Something from my life journey. Something English, lol.

So the rest of us just went to game instead, since nothing nice was really on today, and the rates are so high.

Last day of school!!! No more, no more!
As expected, last day, still gotta feel that rush, that panic one last time. That rush to meet the deadline time (which was unnecessary).
There were joys, there were sadness in today.
Initially, our ATV segment wouldn't have had to rush, but e had to come at 9.30 instead of 9, and wanted to add int his and that, but she didn't have them, till 10.20. We were supposed to have things ready by 10.30, hello.
Ok, she was having problem digitising the VoiceOvers. But still, she could have given me the graphics earlier.
I was working from Newsedit room ATV10 machine, which loaded the graphics fine - but she wanted us to go over to ATV05 where SHE was working, cos "she felt uncomfotable la, later access the same workspace from 2 editing suites, got problem". =.=
In the end, really got problem. After we went to her suite. We cannot load up the graphics properly, and we were already running over time. At the last minute, I told her, just forgo the graphics since they can't be used, just add in the transitions, add in the VOs. And up to the last minute, she was still saying things like "but cannot la, other segments got graphics la, ours don't have very funny" Then what you wanna do? Put in a graphics that is a total disaster?
The original graphic was a subtitle kind of graphic, but now somehow, its become a whitish patch all over the video.
She still wanted to "give it a few more tries" with the graphics though it was hopeless.
SHe was plainly forgetting, or rather ignoring the fact that we still need to dump the video back to tape (meaning to export/record the completed video piece back into tape for viewing), and that dumnping is REAL TIME. Thats 4 mins. And she also forgot, that dumping is the easiest to have problems, and take up a whole lot of time.
True enough, finally when she was convinced (maybe idiots have slower thinking capabilities, she took way longer to be convinced to just give up on the graphics.), we had problems dumping. We tried a few times, then restarted, then it worked. ANd found out one effect was misplaced, and had to re-dump.
And Ms Chee was getting really flustered by then.
Finally, presentation. Well... its plain to see, there were BIG problems with other segments. Audio was one such problem (our segment was still quite ok). Kelly's had their talents technically mumbling to themselves, couldn't hear what they were saying. Owen/Adeline's portion had too much background noise. And Kit's had some wierd background humming noise which almost covered the talent's voices.
The look itself was quite raw too. But maybe that could be fixed during compiling... but in presenting to the client. Well, that was not even impressive.
The other group's first segment was quite good. But the rest of the segments... the voicing was soft, kinda gets boring after a while (because it was just soothing music, visuals, and a monotonous voice), and the Botanical Gardens section was just... Blair Witch Project. Not much footage, so they took the part where they were filimg while walking, and speeded that portion up, so it just looked like really jerky camera movements.
The clients gave rather kinds comments, and suggested areas for improvement.
But Ms Chee was just totally dissapointed and crossed. She said "its sorry and sad to end on such a low note." And when I stayed back abit to really tell her how much we appreciate, I appreciate her teaching us, she said "Nah I don't want to hear that". Then she said "But ya, thanks joel". So I told her "Aiya Ms Chee, whats happened already happened la." Then she just smiled. Haha. Well, its true...
And for the good news.
The LiME team made a preliminary selection of the commercials we submitted, and our group's got in the top 6 which will be put up on the LiME website late March for public voting!!! =DD
And here it is again. Keke.
Lol, showed my aunt my LiME commercial and my Singlecam short film.
Lol all she said was "spoof up/ low budget production/ *shake head*". Well... can't be helped. It IS a low budget production after all. Haha.

2nd last day of school~

Keke today law presentation. Every group had a unique way to present! Got skit, got gameshow, got video. Bu kui shi CMM students! =P

Ah~ Been a long time since I wear until so formal le. Even wearing it walking around I also suddenly feel so important. Bleh =P

e's story gets to continue. Yes, even on the last week of school.
We planned to, for our last news report story, to do on Structures and Sculptures in TP, and I already filmed and digitised half the footage, typed the whole script out nicely, but only that because we couldn't get any interviews with the authorities. But Mrs Raimi did say before, so long you script it in, you can absolve yourself from blame. Which I did.
Yesterday. Valentine's Day. Evening, I was with my baby darling~ And she sudenly called. I was like, wth? Then she messaged, and said she's changing our story to some Chinese culture thing.
First off, its due at 5pm. She messaged me, at 6.
Then today, she still pushed for her that story to be used. So I asked her, whats the progress on our original story? Because, since yesterday, she was supposed to get down to finishing up the story... she said, 50%. Thats like, where I left off. SO technically, she spent the whole of the day doing her "new story". Which I told her, I'm not comfotable with it (in her style)! Because though she's putting both our names down, I can't contribute much to it! I've already got my plans down for today.
Then she said, I could think of what changes could be made to the script... Which I told her right there. Wasn't much, but I made her 4 pages, (looks like 5 mins), footage lacking (to explain this point: Her story was on more and more foreigners these day picking up Chinese. Which in itself can be an interesting news article, but might not work as a news report - because in terms of visuals to show, nothing interesting, nothing substantial can be shown) script into what looks like could work, for a 3 mins news report.
And so she went ahead, with her "amazing confidence".
In the end?
Today 5pm, the absolute dateline, she called to say that what she has now can only fill 1 minute 10 seconds or so. but at least looks like a news report. And, she's likely to be late, because at 5pm, she's still at home.
Submitted in the end, but I'm pretty sure this'd be a flop.
Why couldn't she have stuck with our original story in the first place?!
I was telling her, we should at least finish up our original story, so at least we have a backup. Because we were REALLY short of time. But she wouldn't listen.
Even from third party point of view, Owen also said what I was thinking - interviews? Its ok, doesn't really mtter already, time is the constraint. Plus, I've already scripted to explain the absence of the interviews. At least that package WORKS, and is 3 mins, I'm sure.
At the last assignment, at the last minute, and she has to play jokes like that. Its not like we haven't done news reports before, its always 1 - 2 hours for filming, 1 hour digitising, 1 hour editing, even at my pace.
We were still discussing at 2pm today.
Which only gives her 2 1/2 hours to get her new story up. Which still wasn't really concrete at that point of time.
Taking such a gamble at the last assignment, last minute. WHY?!

Valentine's Day~ is every day!

Girls don't actually need their boyfriends to make Valentine's Day very special, it can just be a normal date. After all, its the love that counts ;)
Keke, went cycling with dar dar today~ Mm! We are quite unique to go cycling together on Valentine's Day! =P But today's cycling and beach walk is one I will always remember, because I spent the time with my darling~ :DD

Went to film a short clip for Law Group Presentation today at kelly's house. I was to act as judge - but the costume shop was out of white judge wigs - they asked me if i wanted a curly, bronze colored hair one. o.O Hell no!
The robe is one heavy thing. Really. Judges lug that around. Omg.

And since we don't have the wig actually, and my hair still needs to look whitish, PLENTY of Talcum Powder was used. Really, plenty. It looked like SNOWING really. I saw myself... 50, 60 years from now. Lol.

Hee! The best thing were the prawns le la. The rest... aiyo our fire keep extinguishing nor! Had to keep calling the guy... Cook things very long at first! =P
The shells ah... at first cook, not cooked well - then later, become overcooked.
We forgot to wash the shellfish before we put it in the soup! Then the veggies had a taste of the ocean. =P
Keke, I even discovered a new way to cook the prawns neh! So they don't curl up. Then I kept cooking, so fun. Cook until dar dar tell me to sit down and eat. =Pp
