But, there are certainly things to be missed. For one, I'd never known there was such a sight to behold in Changi Airport
Yes, this was taken at the airport, 7 in the morning. Beautiful.
Terminal 2, at the Sunflower Garden. The only pity is that its supposed to be seperated into Smoking and Non-Smoking Area, but everyone goes there to smoke. Stop killing the flowers!
And of course, the sight of the array of airplanes is somewhat breathtaking.
Its like, "Wow".
On to some interesting stuff that was in the airport's transit area
See the size of that Tobleron bar? Its not a display you know.
A whopping $150 for that chocolate bar.
We all know how products like to differentiate themselves with a USP, which they so blatantly put on their product's pacakaging. But this is just too irrelevant
FAT FREE mineral water?! Since when was there fat in water?
And, I didn't know Mercedes Benz had a shop. But of course, that would then justify the high prices of the items.
Oh yea, I almost forgot.
Thats me. Taken in a hurry, I didn't smile. XD But the point is, you see that uniform?! Bright yellow! Name tag. Lol. More than once I was asked and challeneged by passengers, asking if I was in uniform. Bah. Our uniform was that yellow polo tshrit, work pants and leather shoes.
And now for something random I took at home
Its a noodle making machine for home use. In chinese, its 家(Jia) 用(Yong) 压(Ya) 面(Mian) 机(Ji). Now you know how the English brand name for this product comes about? JYYMJ?
Oh man. Chinese products.
Ah well. Taking a break at home for now, looking for a new job. 2 months to enlistment.

Off day!
Caught up on my sleep. Amazing how I can sleep for the whole afternoon yesterday, and sleep so soundly till 11 today morning too. Wonders of the human system aye.
Lol yesterday was a a day, as quoted, where "passengers woke up on the wrong side of the bed".
Truly.
First up, London side screwed up again. This passenger bought liquor from London airport, and they failed to put it in a tamper evident bag for him. So, transferring at Singapore, he couldn't bring the bottle on the plane.
It was a 6000 pound liquor. Roughly $12,000 Sing. O.o
He just said, he's never gunna take SQ flight again.
Then, there was this energetic China auntie in her 70s or 80s. She was in a group, but none of the other old men were as energetic as her. My friend was stationed at that Pier, and she specifically read everything from the brochure, all the items to the old lady, asking if she had any of those items. To all, she said no. Ok fine, let her pass. Security check, she had all of them.
The security took the items from her, she started playing tug of war with them. "Mai! Mai! Mai!" and she was tugging and pulling the items away from the security guys. Everyone else were just magically transfixed at the spot watching the commotion.
Every item they took, she wrestled. They took her item, and put it on top of the table, she snatched and put in back in her pack.
Finally, she couldn't win, and held up the whole queue for 10 - 15 mins, she tugged at the security guys' sleeves and told them not to take her stuff from her. LOL.
There was this old Caucasian guy who claimed no one told him of the new LAG measures. Liar. We were stationed all the way from outside to transit area. And Jeri was there what, she did ask every one of the passengers. The security woman was requesting for me to go in and help out - but by the time I went in, they were already exchanging particulars.
The other security woman who was talking to the guy had just given him her particulars (name, department), and she asked for his. He was defensive, and asked why. SHe said "To be fair sir, I need your particulars so I can feedback to my side as well, right?" He hesitated, then snatched the piece of paper from her hand and scribbled so that people could not see what he was writing. Unfortunately, the security could read his handwriting. He left his name and number, and was already going away with his luggage.
"Sir, I need your seat number as well!"
"Why should I give it to you?"
"To be fair sir, I gave you all my particulars, you should give me yours too."
(Quickly pacing away) "I don't feel obliged to give you my seat number."
He thought he was smart, but the security woman just went to the counter and checked his seat number.
All through this, there was nothing I could do, and when I asked so how else I could help, she just stred at me and said "You came so late." What, my fault is it? By the time I came it was already at that stage what. Furthermore, I wasn't the one stationed there. Zz.
I heard at the F Pier there was this incident where a business class traveller just took all his LAGs items and threw them on the floor in a tantrum. Thereafter, he acted like a boss, and kinda commanded my colleague stationed there to follow him to the Transfer counter.
Tch. What the heck!
On a side note, we just found out that the red polo tees working with us were supposed to be spotchecking and monitoring us yellow shirts, and have to write reports on EACH and EVERY one of us everyday. Like attendance, attitude, performance and the such I suppose. Freaky! o.O
That may have shed some light on the 8 chosen of the lot though. Hm.

1st Day
Day 1 on the airport job.
Its a small world!
First, I picked up an extra banana (bright yellow shirts = banana) Charmaine on the way to breakfast.
The bunch of us ground staff were divided into Red SHirts and Yellow Shirts - Red Shirts were airport staff.
At the repacking counter at Transfer F where I was assigned to, the red shirt there - Shanky - she was turned out to be an ex classmate when I took Psychology in TP.
My partner for today, Qi Yun - and her sister, Qi Xuan, they both turned out to know Janelle. LOL.
Small, small world.
Not bad for the first day for me, today. No difficult passengers really on my side. But funny thing was, I think I came across like a salesperson, holding the bag of samples in front of me and talking earnestly. So much that one passenger actually smiled and said No Thank You. LOL.
The garbage aunty must have a fine time today.
Alot of things were thrown. Facial Cream, Liquor, (expensive stuff), Pure Jam from New Zealand, Honey...
There was even a $100 Facial Cream from Tangs which was almost thrown away.
One passenger wanted to have that oyster sauce she just bought, so much that she didn't mind having to wash the two 100 ml bottles I had with me, filled with poster color, to fill her oyster sauce. She liked the bottle so much she left it on top of the bin.
I heard horror stories from other sides, like this lady who came from London, where they didn't put her stuff bought at the airport in tamper evident bags. So when they transferred here, it had to be thrown away. And she made a fuss of it. I had a similiar old man on my side who was angry when I told him so, and said he would try his luck. Do what you want man.
And there was this other guy I heard who challenged, saying that he believed his stuff could go through. Sure man, like, please go ahead!
Passengers. Lol. So cute.
And my poor feet. Alot of walking... I was almost flat from trying to find a cheaper eating place at lunch, walking all over to find my friends, and ending up eating outside. Then Qi Yun told me if I showed the staff pass, I'd get 30% off. What the...
Celebrated early our 6th month anniversary~ Keke. Hao kai xin! =DD
Love you loads darling~ <33 Muacks!

Mosquito and Me
My room happens to be the one facing the hillside and the wilds - I've been harassed by mosquitoes every now and then, especially during the rainy season.
Man, I was trying to catch a nap just now (I was fatigued - and I will tell you why in a short moment), and I got bitten 4 times.
Ever had a mosquito bite you on the fingers or toes before? If not, let me tell ya - its extreme itchiness. There's less meat see, and more nerves.
Sadistic mosquitoes. I just got 2 bites below my scar at my elbow, one behind my other elbow knob, and one RIGHT ON THE BONE OF MY THUMB.
Those suckers.
Just checked my cordless phone again. It was kinda spoilt last time (I haven't sent in the warranty =X) when one of the batteries leaked mercury. I kept it in the shelf. Now its got some white crystals formed along its sides. Gross. Wonder what are those.
Quite abit of walk I did today.
I was on a hunt for something, and travelled to Suntec. To find that like its many branches around, the thing I wanted to find was not in their stock. Ok, I decided I would make one then.
Walked from Suntec to Bras Basah Complex. Seems like the shop moon told me about doesn't make what I wanted. Told me to check out the shops above. So I did, and walked a big round. The guy at the shop told me they didn't make them, but discussed how they could provide an alternative. But I had to find a template for the lines. Like where am I supposed to find that, lol.
Went to a frame maker shop. $40 for one. What?! Nvm. Asked around some more, and someone told me I could find a shop making what I wanted at Far East Plaza.
So I set off for Far East. Wy said Somerset is nearer. Ok man, you take the lead. He took us on a whole TOUR of Orchard before we stepped into what seemed like Far East. 5th floor, I was told.
Wy was still saying confidently "If you se ethe condom shop, its Far East".
YA RIGHT.
I was first to realise we were in Lucky Plaza.
Ok, we walked in what seemed like the right direction, and ended up at Far East. Shopping Centre. I was already suspecting, cos the place looked so small. Only a Medical Clinic was on the 5th Floor.
Decided to ask directions.
Called Ariel, called Janelle. Lye went to ask Wheelock Place Info Counter. LOL. And it was a GAMBLE, when it came to whether it was thge left or right side of TANGS. I saw Lucky Plaza on one side, so I said, ok lets walk this way.
And finally, we found Far East Plaza.
So dumb of me ya. I've been here to film before what! Zzz. And yes I found the shop. After all, it was not a wasted trip. Whew!
